Feeding the poor and needy is an act that draws us closer to Allah. We earn His forgiveness, mercies and blessings through this act of charity.

“Anyone who looks after and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah?s cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all night. (Bukhari)

With the approval of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah be his Helper, Jamia-tul-Mubashireen Sierra Leone was reestablished in 2006. Since then, it has been producing devoted missionaries for the propagation of Islam, alhamdolillah.

On 31 August 2020, the annual convocation of Jamia was held. Prior to the ceremony, a meeting was arranged with the staff of Jamia, wherein Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Sierra Leone, Saeed ur Rahman Sahib looked into the progress of the students.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Muhammad Yero Kmara Sahib. Due to Covid-19, it was a brief ceremony. In his short speech, Amir Sahib advised the students about their responsibilities and distributed prizes among the students.

In academic competitions throughout the year, Muhammad Yero Kamara Sahib was declared the best student and Nur Group stood first.

Due to the widespread pandemic, annual sports did not take place.

After the prize distribution, Amir Sahib led the audience in silent prayer.

After the programme, students and guests were served with lunch.

May Allah the Almighty enable all the teachers and students to discharge their duties in the best possible manner. Amin
