“O, believers! Do not violate the symbols of the sanctity of Allah, and do not (violate the honor) the forbidden months, do not (disturb) the Hadyu (sacrificial animals) and qala’id (sacrificial animals marked), and do not (also) disturbing people who visit Baitulharam; they seek the gift and pleasure of their Lord. But if you have completed Ihram, then you may hunt. Do not let (your) hatred towards a people because they prevent you from the Holy Mosque, encourage you to go beyond (to them). And please help you in (doing) virtue and piety, and do not help in committing sin and enmity. Fear Allah, truly, Allah is very severe in His torment.” (QS 5:4)

“It is permissible for you to hunt sea animals and food (which comes from the sea) as delicious food for you, and for those who are on your way; and forbidden to you (capture) land animals, as long as you are ihram. And fear Allah, to whom you will be gathered (back).” (QS 5:96)

4. The Hunting Weapon

The weapon you use for hunting must be ready enough for hunt. It pictures with something sharp enough to flesh the animal properly. It is not permissible with something that sharp in the edge only because it will harm the animal.

It is permissible to hunt with shotgun and animal that trained for hunt. This means that you slaughtered the animal properly. Then it becomes the food that lawful for you.

5. Hunt The Lawful Animal Only

You may be confused about which one of those animals can be lawful in wild nature. In Islamic law, if the animal becomes prohibit under the law so it is unlawful to eat. If the animal is still so young, it is also unlawful to eat. Don’t eat what makes food haram in Islam.

In the Quran surah AL Baqarah verse 165 mention this.
