5 Values Of The Quran Surah An-Nahl

There are some virtues to reciting Al Quran in Ramadhan. But, we should recite them daily not only in Ramadhan. As the Quran made for every human as guidance for them who are knowledgable. Such mention in verse 89 from the Quran surah An Nahl.

وَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتٰبَ تِبْيَانًا لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَّهُدًى وَّرَحْمَةً وَّبُشْرٰى لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ ࣖ – ٨٩

“And We send down the Book (Al-Qur’an) to you to explain everything, as a guide, as well as grace and good news for people who surrender (Muslims).” (QS 16:89)

Verse by verse from the surah on the Quran has a beautiful meaning and values, includes the Quran surah An Nahl. Surah An Nahl is the 16th surah on the Quran that contains 128 verses. One by one of them has a deep meaning which becomes useful to practice in daily life. We can make a Dua from it such as Duas for wealth.

The words An Nahl means as the bees. We know that bees have amazing teamwork and great effort to make things happen. That is why we need to learn more from them. This time we have some of the value of the Quran surah An Nahl that you should know.

The Value of Faith

Allah is the only creator of everything in this world and the sky. He creates humans, animals, nature, and every beauty inside them. As mentions in the second verse of the Quran surah An Nahl, that there is no god but Allah.

Our faith becomes stronger when we understand that everything made and happen by Allah. Verses 1-17 mentions about how great is Allah’s creation. That is why we need to believe Allah only.

يُنَزِّلُ الْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةَ بِالرُّوْحِ مِنْ اَمْرِهٖ عَلٰى مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهٖٓ اَنْ اَنْذِرُوْٓا اَنَّهٗ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّآ اَنَا۠ فَاتَّقُوْنِ – ٢

“He sent down the angels carrying revelation with His commands to whom He wills among His servants, (saying) namely, “Warn (My servants), that there is no god but Me, then let your fear to me. ” (QS 16: 2)

Avoid The Overbearing Character

Allah doesn’t love them who have an overbearing character. In the surah, An Nahl verses 20-24 explain that an overbearing person just wasting their time. With all of the faith towards Allah, we should avoid this character.

An overbearing person will compare Allah with other things such as idolatry. Allah forbids idolatry and everyone that involved with it will be punished in the hellfire. Besides, on the verse of 49 mentions that the whole living creature knees only on Him.

وَلِلّٰهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ وَّالْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ – ٤٩

“And all that is in the heavens and the earth only prostrate to Allah, that is, all creatures move (animate) and (also) angels, and they (angels) do not boast.” (QS 16: 49)

Strong Believed Towards The Hereafter

Allah mentions that the doomsday will come exactly and there is no one know when the day will come except Him. As Muslims, we should believe it and have faith in it and the hereafter. By reciting the verse, this becomes the rule of seeking knowledge in Islam.

Such as mentions on the verses 60-61.

لِلَّذِيْنَ لَا يُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ مَثَلُ السَّوْءِۚ وَلِلّٰهِ الْمَثَلُ الْاَعْلٰىۗ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيْزُ الْحَكِيْمُ ࣖ – ٦٠

“For people who do not believe in the (life) hereafter, (have) a bad nature; and Allah has the nature of the Highest. And He is Almighty, All-wise.” (QS 16: 60)

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللّٰهُ النَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِمْ مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ وَّلٰكِنْ يُّؤَخِّرُهُمْ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّىۚ فَاِذَا جَاۤءَ اَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُوْنَ سَاعَةً وَّلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُوْنَ – ٦١

“And if Allah punishes people for their wrongdoing, surely He will not leave anything (on earth) from creeping creatures, but Allah suspends them until the appointed time. So when death comes, they cannot ask for a moment’s delay or acceleration.” (QS 16: 61)

Values of Honesty and Righteous

Every good deed makes a good character such as honesty and righteousness. These characters are the character that loves by Allah. That is why we need to be a person that always commits with honesty and righteousness. So that we may get some benefits of good deeds in Islam.

Such mentions in verse 90 below.

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالْاِحْسَانِ وَاِيْتَاۤئِ ذِى الْقُرْبٰى وَيَنْهٰى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاۤءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُوْنَ – ٩٠

“Verily, Allah commands (you) to act justly and do good, give help to relatives, and He forbids (commits) abominable acts, Munkar, and hostility. He teaches you so you can take lessons.” (QS 16: 90)

Values of The Lawful And Unlawful Knowledge

Everything that harms you becomes unlawful and every good one is lawful. It mentions on the verses 114-115. We should follow what reveals by Allah so may we become more grateful because of it.

فَكُلُوْا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ حَلٰلًا طَيِّبًاۖ وَّاشْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ اِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُوْنَ – ١١٤

“Then eat the lawful again from the fortune that God has given you; and thank God, if you only worship Him.” (QS 16: 114)

اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنْزِيْرِ وَمَآ اُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللّٰهِ بِهٖۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَّلَا عَادٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ – ١١٥

“Verily Allah only forbids you carcasses, blood, pork, and (animals) who are slaughtered by (mentioning the name) other than Allah, but whoever is forced to (eat it) not because he wants it and not (also) transgresses, then truly, Allah is Forgiving, All-Merciful.” (QS 16: 115)

So, there are five values of the Quran surah An Nahl that you should acknowledge. Now, you can make them your good deed implementation in daily life such as the values of the Quran Surah Waqiah. May Allah bless you with His gratitude.
