Surah Muzammil is the 73 surah on the Quran that contains 20 verses and has some values such as the values of the Quran surah Al Waqiah. All of them has a great meaning which should be better to follow and apply for Muslims in their daily life. 1. Get to Know Better about Night Prayer
Night prayer in the 1/3 night to dawn is the best way to take a pray and beg some mercies from Allah. Muslims believe that if we do the night prayer regularly, we will get more blessing from Allah because we are so busy in all daylight as the benefits of night prayers.
Besides, it mentions the Quran Surah Muzammil verses 6 and 7 below.
اِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ الَّيْلِ هِيَ اَشَدُّ وَطْـًٔا وَّاَقْوَمُ قِيْلًاۗ – ٦
اِنَّ لَكَ فِى النَّهَارِ سَبْحًا طَوِيْلًاۗ – ٧
“Indeed, Waking Up That Night Is Stronger (Filling The Soul); And (Reading At That Time) Is More Memorable. Behold, During The Daytime You Are Very Busy With Long Affairs.” (QS 73 : 6-7)
2. Strengthen Our Faith
Our faith towards Allah will be rising to strengthen than before as we recite the true meaning behind those verses and apply them daily. As Muslims, we will know Allah better and be sure that there is no god other than Him by reciting the Quran regularly as one of the rules of seeking knowledge in Islam.
It mentions on the Quran surah Muzammil verse 9 below.
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذْهُ وَكِيْلًا – ٩
“(He is) God of the east and west, there is no god but Him, so make Him a protector.” (QS 73: 9)
3. Be More Patient
Allah mentions in so many ways on the Quran that as a Muslim is it to be better to be patient. The patient makes people grateful so much for so many things. Besides, the patient also made people realized that everything comes from Allah only.
With patient, Muslims believe they will get more blessings from Allah. That is why it is important to be patient with everything that may come to us. It mentions on the Quran surah Muzammil verse 10 below.
وَاصْبِرْ عَلٰى مَا يَقُوْلُوْنَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيْلًا – ١٠
“And be patient (Muhammad) with what they say and leave them in a good way.” (QS 73:10)
4. Avoid Grudge Properly
The grudge is the worst behavior that Muslims should avoid. Having a grudge against others will only make things going to be worst, and it will not good for your relationship with others.
As mentions above that, we better be patient with everything that comes to us, because Allah will pay everything for you in the best way. It mentions already on the Quran surah Muzammil verses 11-13.
وَذَرْنِيْ وَالْمُكَذِّبِيْنَ اُولِى النَّعْمَةِ وَمَهِّلْهُمْ قَلِيْلًا – ١١
اِنَّ لَدَيْنَآ اَنْكَالًا وَّجَحِيْمًاۙ – ١٢
وَّطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَّعَذَابًا اَلِيْمًا – ١٣
“And let Me (act) against those who deny, who have all the pleasures of life, and give them a short delay. Truly, besides Us are (heavy) fetters and a burning hell, and (there is) food stuck in the esophagus and painful punishment.” (QS 73: 11-13)
5. Far away from Heathen
Heathen is the worst thing that Allah doesn’t like so much, and every Muslim should avoid it properly. Allah mentions in so many ways in the Quran that everyone is heathen will be punished in the deep hell with the worst punishment.
That is why it is better to keep our way towards Allah and avoid heathen, as mentions in the Quran surah Muzammil verses 17-19 below.
فَكَيْفَ تَتَّقُوْنَ اِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ يَوْمًا يَّجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيْبًاۖ – ١٧
ۨالسَّمَاۤءُ مُنْفَطِرٌۢ بِهٖۗ كَانَ وَعْدُهٗ مَفْعُوْلًا – ١٨
اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۚ فَمَنْ شَاۤءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيْلًا ࣖ – ١٩
“Then how will you be able to take care of yourself if you remain disbelieving in the day that the children turn gray? The sky was divided on that day. God’s promises will be fulfilled. Really, this is a warning. Whoever wills, surely he will take the (straight) path to his Lord.” (QS 73: 17-19)
6. Keep Doing Good Deeds
Every Muslim know that it is important to keep doing good deeds as the most rewarding deeds in Islam so that they may get a blessing for Allah. Doing those good deeds also capable to avoid us from the grudge, overbearing others, greedy, and many more.
Moreover, Allah promised to those whom that always doing good deeds with getting so much gratitude along with his life as the benefits of good deeds Islam. It mentions in the Quran surah Muzammil verse 20 below.
…عَلِمَ اَنْ سَيَكُوْنُ مِنْكُمْ مَّرْضٰىۙ وَاٰخَرُوْنَ يَضْرِبُوْنَ فِى الْاَرْضِ يَبْتَغُوْنَ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللّٰهِ ۙوَاٰخَرُوْنَ يُقَاتِلُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ ۖفَاقْرَءُوْا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنْهُۙ وَاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَقْرِضُوا اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًاۗ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوْا لِاَنْفُسِكُمْ مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوْهُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ۙهُوَ خَيْرًا وَّاَعْظَمَ اَجْرًاۗ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوا اللّٰهَ ۗ… ࣖ – ٢٠
“ … He knows that there will be among you people who are sick, and others walking the earth seeking some of God’s gifts, and others are fighting in the way of Allah, then read what is easy (for you) from the Qur’an and pray, pay zakat and give loans to Allah a good loan. Whatever good you do for yourself, you will surely get it (reward) with Allah as the best and the greatest reward.” (QS 73:20)
So, there are some benefits and virtues of surah Muzammil that you should know. You may well get some blessing and gratitude from Allah by applying those kinds of better things in daily life.
