Angry supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol on January 6 in a chaotic protest aimed at thwarting a peaceful transfer of power, forcing lawmakers to be rushed from the building and interrupting challenges to Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory.

Four persons have been reportedly killed in the chaos.

Hours after a pro-Trump mob broke into the U.S. Capitol to protest the results of the 2020 election, congressional tellers have certified the election of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Imam Tariq El-Amin of Masjid At-Taqwa in Chicago talked with Layla Abdullah-Poulos about the attack on the capitol, Trump’s impeachment, and the days before Biden’s inauguration.
