In a heartfelt address on Maulidur Rasul, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah delivered a powerful message to Muslims, emphasizing the importance of truth and the rejection of falsehoods.
He highlighted how the destructive culture of slander has played a significant role in the downfall of civilizations and the decline of great powers, citing historical instances such as the tragic assassination of the third caliph, Saidina Uthman Affan.
Agong remarked, “These dire consequences of fitnah, or slander, not only resulted in the loss of a prominent Islamic leader but also wreaked havoc on the harmony and stability of nations.”

On this auspicious occasion of the national-level Maulidur Rasul celebration, he called upon his people to emulate the noble and virtuous morals of Rasulullah (Prophet Muhammad). The event took place at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, graced by the presence of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na’im Mokhtar, and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
Furthermore, Agong expressed his optimism for Malaysia’s future, envisioning the nation’s ascent to greatness by grounding its governance in Islamic law and the noble character of the Prophet. He articulated, “Through this foundation, we shall construct a civilized, prosperous, and harmonious nation, where the people exemplify the qualities of ‘Karamatul Insan.'”
