The women wing of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria (Lajna Imaillah) has warned Muslims against homosexuality and transgenderism, internet fraud and other vices.
The body also expressed concerns over the rising urge to amass wealth in society “without a decided plan of any productive activity to actualise it.”
The National Sadr (President) Lajna Imaillah Nigeria, Hajia Taofeeqah Fagbolade, said this while delivering her welcome address during the 44th Annual National Lajna Ijtema (conference) held in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
The theme of the conference was “Religion and Gender Diversity: Exploring the Nexus.”

Fagbolade lamented that religion “is being trampled upon with more ignorance about God.”
She said the developed nations were morally decadent and forcing their ideologies on the developing nations.
In its 11-point communique issued after the three-day event, the conference recommended that every mother should be her children’s best friend and confidant, create time to listen to them and be their role model.
The conference also recommended that every home should be a school where the children learn Islamic values that shield them from bad companies and instill righteousness in them.
“The conference concluded that the progress of a nation is dependent upon women who are responsible for proper upbringing of their children in line with the true spirit of Islam,” the communique added.
