In a shocking incident on Wednesday, two employees of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) were shot at by individuals on motorcycles within the university campus, according to police reports.
The injured staff members have been hospitalized, and the two suspects are currently in police custody, authorities confirmed.
The victims, identified as Mohammad Nadeem and Kaleem, were riding a two-wheeler on campus when they were ambushed by two motorcyclists who fired at them from close range, causing severe injuries.
Upon hearing the gunshots, the university’s security patrol team immediately pursued the attackers, successfully capturing them and turning them over to the police for interrogation.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the assault was motivated by a longstanding feud.
AMU Proctor Mohammad Wasim Ali stated that the wounded employees are receiving medical care at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital.
