Tens of Muslims and police officers marched in New York on Sunday, September 25, to mark the 38th Annual United American Muslim Day Parade.

Feeding the poor and needy is an act that draws us closer to Allah. We earn His forgiveness, mercies and blessings through this act of charity.

“Anyone who looks after and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah?s cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all night. (Bukhari)

The march was held under the theme, “Health & Happiness for All after COVID-19.”

It began on Madison Avenue between East 24th and East 26th Street in Manhattan and drew Muslims from many nationalities that live in the US, Anadolu Agency reported.
