Working to help those affected by Turkey and Syria earthquake, a local Birmingham mosque is hosting a massive family friendly iftar next April 1 at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium.
The proceeds of the event, organized by Green Lane Masjid, will go towards making shelters for Turkish and Syrian earthquake victims.

“We have arranged for some fun children’s activities along with a chance for children to partake in some indoor cricket coaching sessions at Edgbaston Stadium with qualified coaches,” the event statement read.
“All proceeds from the event will go towards providing shelter to those displaced from the Syria/Turkey earthquake.”

For just £10 entry families can enjoy a three-course Iftar meal, Taraweeh prayers, Islamic exhibition and reminders.
Green Lane Masjid regularly run charity drives, including delivering 12,000 food parcels to struggling families in January in response to the cost of living crisis.
Ramadan is the 9th month of the Hijri Islamic calendar. It commemorates the first revelation of the Qur’an to Prophet Muhammad.
