In a heartwarming event, a Chinese businessman has embraced Islam in a ceremony held in the Balkh province of Afghanistan.
According to Haji Zaid, the official spokesperson for the Balkh provincial government, the trader, originally known as Wang Fiki, has chosen the Islamic name Abdullah Mohammad upon his conversion.
The conversion took place during a gathering at the Balkh provincial office, where Abdullah Mohammad publicly recited the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, signifying his acceptance of Islam.
