رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Rabbi awzi’nee an ashkura ni’matakallatee an’amta ‘alayya wa’ala walidayya wa an a’mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee ‘ibaadikas saaliheen.

 

Translation: “My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants.”

This du’a highlights the importance of gratitude and striving to perform righteous deeds. It serves as a reminder to acknowledge Allah’s blessings and seek His approval in our actions.

2. Du’a for Control over Jinn:

The Du’a:

فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ ۚ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا ۚ وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ ۚ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ

Fafahhamnaha Sulaymana wakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa Dawooda aljibala yusabbihna wattayra wakunnafaAAileen.

 

Translation: “And We gave understanding of the case to Sulaiman, and to each [of them] We gave judgment and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with Dawud and [also] the birds. And We were [doing that].”

This du’a illustrates Sulaiman’s unique ability to control the jinn and the natural elements, bestowed upon him by Allah. It underscores the significance of seeking Allah’s guidance and power in managing extraordinary responsibilities.
