According to the Sharia and Fatwa Department of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, the calendar for religious observances in 2025 has been approved, reports Kazinform News Agency via muftyat.kz.
The holy month of Ramadan is anticipated to begin on March 1 next year. The sacred night of Laylat al-Qadr, known as the Night of Power, is expected to be observed from the evening of March 26 to the morning of March 27.
Eid al-Fitr, locally referred to as Oraza Ait, is scheduled to take place on March 30, while Eid al-Adha, also known as Kurban Ait, will be celebrated from June 6 to 8.
Religious scholars caution that the exact dates of these holidays may vary slightly, depending on the sighting of the new moon, and could be observed one day earlier or later.
