Head of the World Islamic League gave a lecture at SPBU
The head of the World Islamic League, Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, gave a lecture on “The World of Civilizations” at St. Petersburg State University. He spoke about the interaction of different cultures and shared his view on why some civilizations flourish and develop over many centuries, while others are declining and dying.
The speaker also stressed that the harmonious global coexistence of societies is impossible without openness and mutual respect. As an example, the theologian cited Russia – a multinational state in which more than 25 million Muslims live.

As part of their stay in the northern capital, guests from Saudi Arabia visited the Cathedral Mosque on the Petrograd side. The honorary delegation was met by the mufti of St. Petersburg, Rawil-Hazrat Pancheev, who conducted a tour and told about Petersburg Muslims, reports Grozny-Iform.
