The Iraqi Islamic Resistance (IRI) announced on Thursday that it carried out a series of drone strikes targeting significant locations in northern Israel.

In a series of three statements, the IRI claimed responsibility for each strike, detailing that its fighters deployed drones to target critical sites in support of Palestine and Lebanon. The group pledged to persist in what they describe as “resisting the occupation.”

In response, the Israeli military confirmed that it intercepted a drone approaching from the direction of Syria, which they suspect may have originated in Iraq. This incident marks the second drone interception by Israeli forces within a span of 24 hours.

The IRI is aligned with the “Axis of Resistance,” a coalition that supports opposition to Israel’s presence in the region.
