FEED THE POOR

Feeding the poor and needy is an act that draws us closer to Allah. We earn His forgiveness, mercies and blessings through this act of charity.

“Anyone who looks after and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah?s cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all night. (Bukhari)

by Mukhtar Ahmad Cheema

Being a complete and final religion from God, Islam guides all aspects of our lives. This guidance is contained in the Holy Quran; the life-time examples (that is, the Sunnah) and the sayings (Hadith) of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him).

In the USA, our members grow up in a non-Islamic culture, and there are also converts to Islam who need to learn the Islamic guidelines on marriage (just as in other matters). In light of this, Jama’at Ahmadiyya in USA has collected the relevant teachings on marriage.

These contain the Quranic injunctions, extracts from the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be on him, his example and written material obtained from the writings of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah, peace be on him.

The compilation of the material is divided as follows:

Part One is on Islamic teachings when viewed as a premarital advice (counseling before Nikah).
Part Two is advice on conduct during married life.
Part Three is on solutions to problems if and when they arise in the course of married life, so as to restore domestic peace and harmony. This will be printed separated.
