Adila Yacoob, Trinidad & Tobago
During the month of February, Jalsa Yaum-e-Musleh-e-Maud takes place at the national level, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, observing all protocols and restrictions, Amir Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Trinidad, Ibrahim bin Yaqub Sahib, advised that all the Jamaat programmes were to be held locally.
In Freeport, the Jalsa was held on 20 February 2022 at the Nasir Mosque. There was a total attendance of 34 members. The formal programme began after the Zuhr and Asr prayers, with recitation from the Holy Quran and its translation, which was followed by a poem.
After that, Saleem Yacoob Sahib presented the words of the prophecy of Musleh-e-Maud, which was followed by a speech about the major achievements in the life of Hazrat Musleh-e-Maudra.
The concluding address was delivered by Amir Jamaat Trinidad, Ibrahim bin Yaqub Sahib, which was followed by an interactive session of questions and answers.
Lastly, the audience was reminded that, “This event is not a birthday celebration; rather, we are here to celebrate the fulfilment of the Promised Messiah’sas grand prophecy regarding the Promised Reformer and the Promised son that was fulfilled in the person of Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmadra, Khalifatul Masih II.” Thereafter, the programme concluded with a silent prayer.
Alhamdulillah, it was a very successful event. May Allah the Almighty enable us to follow the footsteps of the Promised Messiahas and fulfil the pledge we have all made at the hand of Hazrat Khalifatul Masihaa, amin.
