In this memorial complex, located not far from Samarkand in Uzbekistan, is the tomb of Imam Bukhari, best known for creating a collection of hadiths (sayings of the Prophet) named Sahih Bukhari collection, which is considered the most authentic of all collections of Hadith and the most authoritative book after the Al-Quran.
Imam Bukhari was born in 810 CE. in the city of Bukhara (Uzbekistan). His full name was Mohammed ibn Ismail ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Mughira ibn Bardizbah al-Bukhari. He had a phenomenal memory, and he traveled throughout the Islamic world, devoting himself to collecting, studying, proofreading and organizing hadith.
