MAKKAH — More than one million Umrah pilgrims have benefited from the hair cutting service introduced at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, enabling them to complete their rituals and exit from ihram with ease.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques launched the service for the first time during the beginning of last Ramadan. Dedicated barber stations were arranged at two key points: the Marwa Gate and the eastern courtyard of the Grand Mosque.

According to the Presidency, the initiative is managed by a specialized team that ensures full compliance with safety and hygiene protocols. Pilgrims are served using sterilized tools and equipment, providing both efficiency and a high standard of care.
This new service highlights ongoing efforts to improve the experience of visitors performing Umrah and Hajj. By adding modern facilities while maintaining strict safety standards, the Presidency continues to support the vision of the Saudi leadership in enhancing pilgrim services at the Two Holy Mosques.
The Presidency further emphasized its commitment to expanding services, offering innovative solutions that help pilgrims complete their rituals smoothly and comfortably.
