President Bola Tinubu, accompanied by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, key ministers, and agency heads, is set to depart Abuja on Sunday en route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They will be attending the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2024.
This year’s summit in Riyadh follows last year’s gathering in the same location and is held at the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this in an official statement on Saturday, noting the importance of Nigeria’s participation.

Alongside the President, the delegation includes Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, and National Intelligence Agency Director-General Mohammed Mohammed. During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to address the escalating Israel-Palestine conflict, emphasizing Nigeria’s stance on an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution.
Nigeria will press for renewed dialogue toward the two-state solution as a foundation for lasting peace in the region,” the statement read.
Upon concluding the summit, President Tinubu and his delegation are expected to return to Abuja. This marks Tinubu’s third trip to Saudi Arabia and his 30th international engagement since taking office 17 months ago.
