After two difficult years of helping community during the COVID-19 pandemic, a Preston mosque has hosted a special celebration to honor public sector workers from across Lancashire for their efforts in keeping the community safe.

FEED THE POOR

Feeding the poor and needy is an act that draws us closer to Allah. We earn His forgiveness, mercies and blessings through this act of charity.

“Anyone who looks after and works for a widow and a poor person is like a warrior fighting for Allah?s cause, or like a person who fasts during the day and prays all night. (Bukhari)

“As NASA discovers new stars and galaxies in the universe, Lancashire, and in particular Quwwatul Islam mosque, was blessed to host such auspicious local ’stars’ of our own,” said imam Khalid Ibrahim, Asian Image reported.

“The event was a thank you to all the many services and individuals who had worked tirelessly and selflessly to serve all communities, but in particular my community, the Muslim Community of Preston.”
