The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community describes itself as the largest Muslim organization in the world - although it does not have a majority in any country. In Germany, too, it only has around 40,000 members - and yet it has been the first Muslim body to have equal status with the churches since 2013, because the Ahmadiyya claims to represent a modern Islam - regardless of the nationality of the believers. Die Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat bezeichnet sich selbst als größte muslimische Organisation der Welt – wenngleich die in keinem Land eine Mehrheit stellt. Auch in Deutschland hat sie nur rund 40.000 Mitglieder – und ist dennoch als erste muslimische Körperschaft seit 2013 den Kirchen gleichgestellt, denn die Ahmadiyya hat den Anspruch, einen modernen Islam zu vertreten – unabhängig von nationaler Zugehörigkeit der Gläubigen.
