Jakarta, CNN Indonesia -- Around 5,000 British Ahmadi Muslims gathered and expressed their condolences for the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96 on Thursday last week.
Over the weekend, thousands of members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community gathered in Hampshire for the three-day National Itjima.
Initially, National Itjima was held with various prayer events, sports competitions, to academics.

However, when news of Queen Elizabeth II's departure was announced at Buckingham Palace on Thursday (8/9) evening, the UK's Ahmadiyya Muslim Community canceled the entire event and turned the event into a prayer and tribute to the queen.

The flag of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, which usually flies at the event venue, was also flown at half-mast along with the British flag after the sad news spread.
