Laura Loomer, an infamous anti-Muslim extremist and ardent supporter of Donald Trump, was seen traveling with the former president to the debate on Tuesday. This public appearance of Loomer, stepping off Trump’s private jet at Philadelphia’s airport, further highlights Trump’s association with one of the most outspoken bigots in America.
Fox News aired footage showing Trump’s plane arriving in Philadelphia, with Loomer emerging moments before Trump himself. While Trump’s campaign has yet to comment on this high-profile connection, the sight of Loomer joining Trump’s entourage sends a clear message.
Loomer, who has long aligned herself with Trump’s rhetoric, gained attention for her extreme views, including openly calling Muslims “savages” and referring to Islam as a “cancer.” She has also proudly used the hashtag “#proudislamophobe.” Her incendiary statements have extended beyond Islam to other sensitive topics. In 2017, she was banned from Uber and Lyft after suggesting the need for non-Islamic alternatives, claiming she didn’t want to support Muslim immigrant drivers.

Her shocking disregard for the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand, where a white supremacist killed 51 Muslims, was made clear when she callously tweeted, “I 👏 DON’T 👏 CARE 👏 ABOUT 👏 CHRISTCHURCH.” This disregard for human life only scratches the surface of her extreme ideology.
Beyond her anti-Muslim remarks, Loomer has openly voiced support for white nationalism, stating in 2017 that America was built as a “white Judeo-Christian ethnostate” and that diversity and immigration were eroding the country’s foundation. She has even suggested that Democrats should be executed for treason.
Vice President Kamala Harris has also been a target of Loomer’s racist rhetoric. In a particularly offensive tweet, she claimed that if Harris became president, “the White House will smell like curry,” implying racial stereotypes and diminishing the significance of Harris’s position.

Trump’s relationship with Loomer is not new. He has praised her on several occasions, including during her run for Congress in 2022. Her congressional campaign ultimately failed, but it underscored the kind of figures Trump continues to embrace within his political sphere.
Loomer’s presence at such a high-profile event shows how deeply intertwined extreme ideologies have become with parts of American politics. As Trump heads toward another presidential campaign, his association with figures like Loomer will undoubtedly continue to raise questions about the direction of his political agenda.
