Popular BBC1 Saturday Morning Kitchen, a program which is broadcast live, ran an `Eid Special on Sunday May 24th, under the name, ‘Celebration Kitchen Live’

Host Matt Tebutt was joined by actor Adil Ray, sportsman Sir Mo Farah and comedian Nabil Abdulrashid. Restauranteur Asma Khan, who has previously featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table, was in the studio sharing Indian themes, while medic and Masterchef winner Saliha Mahmood-Ahmed shared from her home Pakistani influences.

The Tradition of Food

“Good morning, do not adjust your (TV) sets, it’s not Saturday but we are here, live,” began Matt before Adil, continued, “It’s definitely Sunday, the 24th of May, which means it’s `Eid Al-Fitr. What better way to celebrate than with one hour of fantastic food?”
