On Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz warmly welcomed Dr. Salah bin Muhammad Al-Budair, the Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi, upon his arrival at the Chief Minister’s Office. In her greeting, she said, “On behalf of the people of Punjab, I extend a heartfelt welcome. Pakistan is your home.” She also offered prayers for the good health and long life of the Saudi King, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The Chief Minister emphasized the deep ties between her family and the Saudi royal family, remarking, “The friendship between the Saudi royal family and my father, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, is something truly special.” She also mentioned her admiration for the governance model of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), describing him as a guiding light for rulers. “Our strength lies in Madinah,” she noted, adding, “While I may not know Lahore in its entirety, I am familiar with every street in Madinah.”

In response, Dr. Salah bin Muhammad Al-Budair conveyed the best wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the people of Madinah to the people of Punjab. He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for the warm reception and stated, “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are like two shining stars in the sky.
He further added, “The bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is strategic and enduring, with a rich history and a promising future.” Dr. Salah also praised Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, calling it a source of progress and prosperity for Pakistan.
