Part I | Part II

Four walls. Dark and dirty. The man sat down and exhaled, bowed his head and said a prayer to the Lord. How did he get here?

At another time, in another place, the woman was crying. She could not find meaningful support anywhere. She cried for so long that she felt her insides would explode. How did she get here?

They were victims of malicious hearing. A rumor that struck their morality and character. In his case, this delusion around him lasted for years. In her case, during the month, even the closest people to her did not know what to do with what was said.

Prophet Joseph, alayhi as salaam (peace and blessings be upon him), was innocent. But he remained in prison for many years. There were noises of succulent gossip: “The minister’s wife fell in love with him,” “Oh, but I heard that he was trying to seduce her!” One could justify disappointment – the poor Prophet Joseph spent years in prison for lying! It is so grossly unfair that it is inherently unfair.

But Allah, Subhanahu va ta & # 39; ala (the exalted He) is All-Union and All-Seeing. He is the All-Knowing, the Wise. He is the Protective Friend of those who believe. And He is the fairest.

This prison was the key to the release of the Prophet Joseph. He may not have been in prison. How? Years later, he interpreted the dream of his prison assistants, and in the end the word went to the king, who was also fortunate enough to be interpreted. And Joseph refused to leave prison until it became clear that what was said about him was a lie. The minister’s wife admitted that it was she who was trying to seduce him. There was no more doubt.

And Aisha radiate Allah anha (may God be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ат was also attacked. A really dirty rumor, started by one of the hypocrites, spread around Madina about her and a devout companion. Everyone heard about it. Those who chose protection were few, but others were prepared to help in their simple discussion of this issue. They talked about someone's reputation. They let the rumors persist. They created doubts.

During this period, Aisha fell ill. For a whole month, she had no idea what was being said about her. When she was better and finally heard, she cried for three whole days. Her illness at that time was a blessing, because for some time she had protected her from pain. And in what happened, it was a lesson for all Muslims. And she, too, was justified – with verses shown in the Holy Quran only for her. She was innocent, and everyone knew about it until the end of time.

People can talk about you. They can be crude assumptions or outright lies. But the place where you are, however terrible it may be, can be a bridge for your discovery and relief. You may not be able to see it yet. Take comfort in the knowledge that you are in the company of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Aisha (pa) and the Prophet Joseph (as).

And it hurts. They are hard not to touch. But in the spirit of the Prophets Muhammad and Joseph, and from Aisha, go to your Lord. Pray to Him. And continue in your work for Him. Do not let the rumors prevent you from doing good, because it is not about them. It is about you and about Him. Truth is light and will exceed darkness. Those who slander may try to harm you, but when you continue in your good, you have already won the battle. They could not tear you away. And Allah (swt) will make your good remain. The moment of pain you are in is only a moment. It may seem like a prison or a disease and endless, but Allah does after relief. And at all the difficulties that Allah will give you. It may be through a friend or maybe a distraction. Or a reminder in the form of an article.

But just remember that Allah (swt) knows. You are not alone, even if you feel abandoned and offended. And your relief can come from what you do not expect.
