Hindu extremist mob pelt mosque with stones and attack Muslim shops – Middle East Monitor

A Hindu extremist mob attacked a mosque and Muslim businesses during a Hindu celebration in the western Indian state of Gujarat. The state borders Pakistan and has been a hotbed of communal violence for decades, most notably when thousands of Muslims were killed in the 2002 Gujarat pogrom. Current Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was internationally sanctioned for his role in the pogrom.
