Islamic Emirate Calls on Imams to Denounce Pakistan’s Border Strikes During Friday Sermons

The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs under the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has directed mosque imams and Friday preachers across the country to openly condemn Pakistan’s recent cross-border aggression in their upcoming sermons.

In a formal statement released on Friday, the Ministry instructed religious leaders to address the issue alongside their planned religious topics, stressing the need to reassure worshippers that both the leadership and Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate remain steadfast in defending the nation.

The announcement highlighted that the Islamic Emirate has consistently responded to external aggression “with determination, patience, and a sense of national responsibility,” and will continue to uphold Afghanistan’s sovereignty with the same resolve.

“Defending the country’s borders is a collective duty. The Islamic Emirate is fully committed to safeguarding Afghanistan’s territorial integrity,” the Ministry declared in its statement.

The Ministry also cautioned citizens against falling prey to what it described as “enemy propaganda” intended to sow division among Afghans. Instead, it called for national unity, urging the public to support the government and its efforts to maintain peace and stability amid heightened border tensions.

Recent clashes along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border have reignited regional tensions, with both sides exchanging blame over violations and attacks near the Durand Line. The Islamic Emirate’s latest directive aims to reinforce solidarity among Afghans as the government seeks to address the ongoing situation diplomatically and militarily.
