Israeli Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Under Heavy Security

Dozens of Israeli settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Wednesday, escorted by Israeli occupation forces, according to local reports.

Witnesses stated that the settlers, moving in groups, accessed the mosque’s eastern section through the Moroccan Gate (Bab al-Magharib). Under the protection of Israeli forces, they conducted provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals within the mosque’s premises.

Simultaneously, Israeli security forces imposed heightened restrictions at the entrances to the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, increasing their presence in the area.

In a separate incident earlier in the day, Israeli forces reportedly shot and killed a child in the vicinity of the airport area, east of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Since the outbreak of hostilities on October 7, 2023, and up until January 19, 2025, Israel’s military operations in the Gaza Strip have led to the deaths and injuries of over 158,000 people, the majority being women and children. Additionally, more than 14,000 individuals remain unaccounted for.
