MITEC Spreads Ramadan Cheer to Underprivileged Children

In the spirit of compassion and generosity, the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) extended its hospitality to 80 underprivileged children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary KL and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Asnaf Teratak Ummi during a special Ramadan gathering last night.

The event, designed to bring joy and meaningful support to the children during the holy month, was graced by MITEC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mala Dorasamy, along with Qube Integrated Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Qube) Executive Chairman, Richard Teo.

In an official statement, MITEC emphasized its ongoing commitment to social responsibility, highlighting the significance of giving back to the community. As part of the initiative, each welfare home received a financial contribution of RM1,000, while the children were delighted with duit raya, adding to their festive celebrations.

“The highlight of the evening was a heartwarming Iftar (breaking of fast) session, where the children enjoyed a sumptuous meal in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This initiative underscores MITEC’s dedication to fostering community spirit and strengthening social ties,” the statement read.

Dorasamy reflected on the importance of Ramadan as a time of unity, gratitude, and kindness, expressing MITEC’s honor in hosting the children and creating a joyful experience for them.

“At MITEC, we strongly believe in the power of giving and building stronger community connections. We are privileged to be able to share this special moment with these inspiring young individuals,” she said.

Teo echoed similar sentiments, stating that Qube was proud to play a role in curating a memorable Ramadan experience for the children.

“Our goal extends beyond hosting an event. We aim to bring happiness, instill hope, and introduce these children to new possibilities in a remarkable setting,” he said. “At Qube, our commitment to social responsibility drives us to uplift communities, forge meaningful relationships, and leave a lasting positive impact.”

As a touching conclusion to the event, MITEC extended an open invitation to the children, encouraging them to visit again and explore the diverse exhibitions and cultural programs held at the venue throughout the year. This initiative aims to inspire young minds and introduce them to the dynamic world of events and exhibitions.
