JEDDAH – In preparation for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, distinguished imam and khateeb of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, has been officially appointed to deliver the Arafat sermon and lead prayers at Namirah Mosque on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, 1446 AH.
The directive was issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, as confirmed by the Presidency of Religious Affairs for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The Day of Arafat, considered the spiritual peak of the Hajj pilgrimage, marks a pivotal moment for millions of pilgrims. The gathering at the plains of Arafat is among the most vital rites of Hajj, where the sermon precedes the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, which are traditionally offered together and shortened in accordance with the Sunnah.
