Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged Muslim nations to take a firm and collective stand against what he described as the “blatant crimes” of Israel, particularly following the recent airstrike on Hamas representatives in Doha.
According to Iranian media, President Pezeshkian made the remarks during a Tuesday evening phone call with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. He strongly condemned the Israeli airstrike, reaffirming Tehran’s solidarity with Qatar amid rising regional tensions.

The Iranian leader criticized Israel for its “complete disregard for international law and established norms,” accusing the United States of backing Tel Aviv’s actions. He warned that Israel’s repeated claims of “self-defense” were merely a pretext to undermine stability, peace, and security across the Middle East.
“The Israeli regime disrupts the security, stability, and peace of the entire region under the pretext of self-defense, committing atrocities without hesitation,” Pezeshkian stated.
Calling for a unified front, he urged Islamic nations to act collectively in condemning Israel’s military operations, arguing that coordinated pressure is the only effective way to deter further escalation.
For his part, Emir Tamim stressed the importance of a regional consensus against Israel’s policies. He accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of pursuing unchecked aggression, pointing to the timing of the Doha strike.
The Emir revealed that Hamas leaders had recently expressed readiness to accept a U.S.-backed ceasefire plan. However, Israel launched its airstrike during the ongoing talks, a move that he said undermined efforts to achieve peace.
Emir Tamim emphasized the need for continuous coordination between Islamic nations, including Qatar and Iran, to develop effective strategies aimed at halting what he described as “Israeli atrocities.”
Both leaders agreed to maintain dialogue and strengthen joint efforts to confront Israeli actions, highlighting that unity among Muslim countries is vital in addressing the crisis.
