The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has extended warm congratulations to Imam Nojeem Jimoh following his election as the new National Amir (President) of The Companion — an association comprising Muslim men in business and professional fields.
His emergence as the new leader was officially announced during the association’s three-day National Conference, which concluded on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State.
In a congratulatory statement jointly signed by MUSWEN President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, and Executive Secretary, Prof. Muslih Tayo Yahya, the organisation commended Imam Jimoh’s track record and leadership qualities.
“Imam Jimoh, who serves as the Chief Imam of the Lighthouse Muslim Community in Lekki and is an active member of the Daw’ah Committee at the Lekki Central Mosque (LEMU), brings extensive experience in both faith-based and professional leadership,” the statement read.
The Muslim body further noted that Imam Jimoh, a retired oil and gas executive and former Chief Operating Officer of Taurus Oil & Gas Ltd, had previously served as the National Naibul-Amir. His commitment to advancing Islamic values and fostering community growth was described as “well-established and inspiring.”
