The invisible came to Medina and met the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He was hungry and needed a place to stay for the night. The Prophet Muhammad informed his family about an unexpected guest, but he was informed that there was nothing in the house for lunch. The Prophet Muhammad turned to his comrades and asked: "Who wants to accept this man?" One of the comrades stood up and said, "I can."
A companion went home with a stranger and said to his wife: "We have a guest of the Prophet." The wife was embarrassed and quietly said to her husband: “We have very little for ourselves.” The husband said: “Please make a meal, give up the lamp, and let the guest eat in the dark. We pretend to eat. She prepared the meal, turned off the lamp, and the husband and wife sat down with the stranger in the dark.
The guest greedily ate dinner, while the husband and wife sat side by side and only pretended to eat. That night the whole family went to bed hungry. On the contrary, their guest fell asleep with a full stomach, not knowing about the sacrifice of his masters. The next day, the companion went to the Prophet Muhammad. Upon his arrival, the Prophet Muhammad greeted him with a smile and said to him: “Allah was very pleased with your actions last night! And told me about you and your family.
"And those who, before them, had houses (in Medina) and accepted the Faith, showed their affection for those who came to them for refuge, and did not want in their hearts for what was given to them last, but give them preference over themselves, although poverty was their property. And saved from the self-interest of their own souls, they are those who achieve prosperity. "[Quran:59-9)[Qur’an:59-9)[Коран:59-9)[Qur’an:59-9)
