JHANG, Pakistan – In a remarkable tale of love that transcended borders, a 27-year-old American woman has tied the knot with a 29-year-old man from Jhang after converting to Islam.
The woman, formerly known as Karensha Madison Grace and a resident of South Carolina, USA, met Naeem-ul-Hassan—hailing from Mouza Hassan Khan in Jhang—through social media nearly two years ago. Their online friendship blossomed over time, eventually leading to a life-changing decision.
Determined to turn her virtual connection into a lifelong commitment, Karensha made the long journey to Pakistan. Upon her arrival in Jhang, she embraced Islam at the well-known Jamia Arabia Dar-ul-Huda and adopted her new Muslim name: Kaneez Ayesha.
The couple solemnized their marriage at the local Kachehri (district courts) in the chamber of Advocate Rana Aamir Shehzad. Witnesses described the atmosphere as joyful, with both bride and groom beaming with happiness during the ceremony.
This marks a new chapter for Kaneez Ayesha, who was previously married in the United States and is a mother of three daughters. Following her divorce, she chose to leave behind her past life and begin anew with Naeem-ul-Hassan in Pakistan.
Their story reflects not only the growing impact of digital communication but also the strength of personal conviction, cultural openness, and love that bridges continents.
