As part of the second edition of the #RamadanInDubai campaign, this citywide initiative has been launched under the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The festival of lights and artistry aims to foster a deeper sense of community while celebrating Islamic traditions.
A Radiant Celebration
Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has partnered with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to bring this luminous transformation to life. The ‘Anwaar Dubai’ initiative, a key feature of this year’s campaign, focuses on enhancing the city’s visual appeal by decorating prominent streets, mosques, and public spaces with captivating Ramadan-themed displays.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating: “Our goal is to enrich Dubai’s visual landscape with artistic lighting that resonates with the values of Ramadan. This initiative not only enhances the city’s charm but also fosters a warm and inviting atmosphere for residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the spirit of the Holy Month.”

Jumeirah Street, Al Khawaneej Street, and Za’abeel Palace Street are among the key locations illuminated with exquisite designs that reflect Islamic heritage while embracing Dubai’s contemporary identity. The glowing installations add to the celebratory ambiance, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to bringing joy to its diverse communities.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Executive Director of Emaar Properties, highlighted the significance of the campaign: “Ramadan is a time of reflection and togetherness. These stunning light displays underscore the city’s architectural splendor and reinforce the values of generosity and unity that define this season.”

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has played a pivotal role in decorating major thoroughfares with intricate light fixtures that blend traditional and modern aesthetics. Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, Executive Director of Corporate Administrative Support Services at RTA, emphasized the organization’s commitment to community-driven projects. “We are proud to contribute to the #RamadanInDubai campaign by enhancing Dubai’s public spaces with innovative designs that reflect the cultural and spiritual significance of Ramadan.”

Dubai Municipality has also joined the initiative by illuminating the historic Clock Roundabout in Deira with artistic lighting displays featuring messages celebrating the Holy Month. Sayed Ismail Al Hashemi, Acting CEO of Corporate Support Sector at Dubai Municipality, noted: “Our contribution aligns with our mission to enhance Dubai’s beauty while creating meaningful cultural experiences for residents and tourists alike.”

Various key districts, including Wasl1, Wasl Village, Jumeirah Golf Estate, and Karama, have been transformed into vibrant showcases of Ramadan’s spirit. Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim, Group CEO of Wasl Group, expressed the organization’s commitment to fostering a sense of unity through festive decorations: “This initiative celebrates the values of Ramadan while highlighting the importance of cultural appreciation and shared traditions.”
Dubai Holding has also played a role in enriching the city’s Ramadan ambiance. Huda Buhumaid, Chief Impact Officer at Dubai Holding, stated: “Our aim is to create immersive experiences that bring the essence of Ramadan to life, fostering a deep sense of belonging among Dubai’s diverse communities.”

The return of ‘Ramadan Reflections,’ first launched in 2023, introduces awe-inspiring light and sound projections at major destinations such as DIFC, Al Seef, and Dubai Festival City Mall. Suhaila Ghubash, VP of Events and Festivals at Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), shared her excitement: “Dubai’s Ramadan celebrations this year are truly unforgettable, with stunning visual storytelling and interactive experiences designed to captivate visitors and residents alike.”
Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls, including the Mall of the Emirates and City Centre Mirdif, have also embraced the festive spirit, with dazzling decorations and special promotions to enhance the shopping experience. Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Managing Director at Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls, remarked: “Our focus is on creating a warm and festive environment where families and friends can come together to celebrate the joy of Ramadan.”

At Dubai Festival City Mall, the commitment to celebrating Ramadan is evident through its meticulously designed lighting installations.
