Tanzanian musician Harmonize, known for his popular track “Show Me,” has addressed critics who questioned his decision to attend a Christian church service, despite being Muslim.
Why Harmonize Attended Church
Photos circulating online show the singer dressed formally in a suit, kneeling at the altar as a preacher prayed over him, placing a hand on his back. Harmonize appeared deep in reverence, his hands raised and head bowed.
The images sparked a debate, with some social media users questioning why a Muslim artist would attend a church. Responding on his Instagram stories, Harmonize defended his choice, emphasizing that his faith in God transcends religious boundaries.
“When you give God your ear, Satan will speak through those around you. Even if you don’t want to listen, Satan finds a way through people,” Harmonize wrote. He clarified that he attended church to seek guidance and strength, adding that he felt it was a place where God’s presence was palpable.
Refuting rumors that he was paid to attend, Harmonize expressed his commitment to faith-driven teachings. I am proudly Muslim. Forever, I’ll keep going to church,” he declared. According to the artist, he values messages about faith, morality, and financial wisdom.
Reconciliation with Diamond Platnumz
In a separate development, Harmonize seems to have reconciled with fellow artist Diamond Platnumz, following years of strained relations over allegations of mismanagement. Recently, at a State House event hosted by President Samia Suluhu, Harmonize was seen extending a handshake to Diamond, a gesture warmly reciprocated.
The reunion left fans hopeful for a fresh start between the two music icons.
