The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has issued a sharp condemnation of recent Israeli airstrikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing the assault as a flagrant violation of international norms and Iranian sovereignty.
In a statement released Friday, Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, denounced the attack as “unjustified and illegitimate,” emphasizing that the strikes resulted in the deaths of several Iranian military officials, nuclear scientists, and innocent civilians.
“These aggressive actions by the Zionist regime clearly breach the territorial integrity of Iran and violate both the UN Charter and fundamental principles of international law,” Mujahid stated.

He further pointed out that the escalation comes amid ongoing devastation in Gaza, where Palestinian civilians continue to suffer from unrelenting attacks. “While the people of Palestine endure a humanitarian catastrophe, the occupying forces escalate their assaults with impunity, ignoring international calls for restraint and respect for human rights,” he added.
The Islamic Emirate expressed deep concern that continued provocations of this nature could lead to wider instability across the region. The spokesperson urged all parties with a stake in Middle East peace to act with responsibility and take concrete steps to prevent further deterioration of the regional security landscape.
“These actions only heighten tensions and increase the risk of a broader conflict,” Mujahid warned. “It is imperative that all stakeholders engage diplomatically and fulfill their duties in maintaining peace and stability.”
Meanwhile, Iran’s state-affiliated Tasnim News Agency reported that several high-profile figures were killed in the Israeli strikes targeting Tehran. Among the dead were Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and senior military leader Major General Gholamali Rashid, Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Headquarters.
The airstrikes also claimed the lives of two prominent nuclear scientists: Dr. Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, president of Islamic Azad University, and Dr. Fereydoun Abbasi, a former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.
These developments mark a significant escalation in the ongoing geopolitical tensions between Israel and Iran, raising alarms about the potential for wider conflict and deepening instability in the Middle East.
