The Kedah Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) has introduced an initiative to provide 36,000 e-wallet incentives for visitors attending six Rahmah Ramadan Bazaars across the state.
According to Kedah’s KPDN enforcement director, Muhammad Nizam Jamaludin, these bazaars are located at Taman Mahsuri in Jitra, Wisma Ria in Sungai Petani, Klang Lama in Kulim, Pekan Baling, Kuah in Langkawi, and Darul Aman Stadium in Alor Setar.
Under this initiative, selected visitors will receive RM20 each in e-wallet credit, while traders offering the RAHMAH Menu will be granted RM100 as an incentive to encourage more RM5 meal options, helping consumers manage their expenses more efficiently.
“Last year, this initiative was implemented at four locations, but due to its success, we have expanded it to six locations this year. Each site is allocated 6,000 e-wallet redemptions to promote digital transactions and foster a cashless economy,” Muhammad Nizam explained.

In addition, Pen Petroleum Sdn Bhd, a strategic partner of KPDN, has contributed 20 petrol cards worth RM50 each to selected RAHMAH Menu traders as a form of support for their participation.
Speaking at the launch of the state-level Ramadan Rahmah Bazaar at Taman Mahsuri, Muhammad Nizam emphasized that the initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden on the public by offering a variety of affordable meal options for breaking fast.
“Traders at these bazaars provide RAHMAH Menu items such as rice with side dishes, chicken rice, nasi kandar, roti john, vermicelli soup, satay, curry noodles, nasi lemak, and murtabak,” he added.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Nizam reported that inspections conducted at Ramadan bazaars and business premises in the state as of March 8 have found no instances of unjustified price hikes by traders.
