Maersk, in collaboration with the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), has launched a cutting-edge logistics park at Jeddah Islamic Port, signaling a transformative step in the region’s logistics sector.
Spanning 225,000 square meters, this $250 million facility is now the largest single-site logistics and services hub in the Middle East.

The facility offers an array of services, including multimodal connectivity, advanced warehousing solutions, temperature-controlled storage, customs clearance, and efficient distribution systems. It is tailored to serve a variety of industries, including FMCG, automotive, retail, and pharmaceuticals.
In an effort to promote sustainability, the facility is equipped with 32,000 solar panels, which generate up to 70% of its energy needs. Additionally, Maersk has established an in-house women’s academy, aimed at fostering diversity and empowering women within the logistics industry.
The inauguration event was graced by key dignitaries, including Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and Maersk CEO, Vincent Clerc. Both leaders highlighted the facility’s potential to boost economic growth, streamline supply chain operations, and champion sustainable logistics practices.
Commenting on the launch, Al-Jasser stated, “The Maersk Logistics Park at Jeddah Islamic Port will play a pivotal role in supporting the Kingdom’s economic activities, offering highly efficient logistics services to facilitate trade movements and exports, while strengthening supply chains and logistics.
Clerc added, “The Maersk Logistics Park marks a significant achievement for Maersk. It exemplifies our dedication to enabling global trade in Saudi Arabia, a nation strategically positioned at the intersection of three continents. I am delighted that our Jeddah facility stands as a tangible embodiment of our integrated logistics strategy, supporting our customers with robust logistics solutions while advancing our decarbonization efforts.”
