The greatest miracle of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), was the Quran. But beyond that, the prophet performed thousands of miracles, witnessed by his associates, who did their best to let the next generations know about miracles. The whole world history does not know of other cases when people, generation after generation, were so responsible with the preservation of the message in its original form. Today, after fifteen hundred years, we read about miracles, and they seem to occur before our eyes. Undoubtedly, man could perform these miracles only with the help of the Lord. This once again confirms the truthfulness of the words of Muhammad: “I am the messenger of God.”

Thousands of believers and skeptics had the opportunity to witness the wonders of Muhammad (saw). The Lord revealed the ayahs describing these miracles, some of them firmly settled in the minds of believers. The ill-wishers of Muhammad had no choice but to be silent when they heard these verses. If the miracles mentioned by the Quran didn’t take place, the slanderers would have an excellent opportunity to accuse Muhammad of lying. But they knew that miracles really happened, so they could not say a word against it. Believers, however, became even more convinced of the veracity of Muhammad and the Quran.
Next we will talk about some of the miracles performed by Muhammad (saw).
Divine essence of miracles
Miracles – one of the factors confirming the veracity of the prophet. However, they cannot be the basis of faith, for sorcerers, with the help of the devil, are also able to accomplish the supernatural. The truth of the prophet is confirmed by the mission and the message with which he came. The Lord inspired each of us with the ability (albeit limited) to learn the truth, especially when it comes to the Unity of God. To strengthen people’s faith in the prophet, the Lord performs miracles with their hands, the hands of Moses, Jesus, Muhammad. (may God bless them all) Therefore, the Lord did not work miracles at the request of the Meccans, but when He pleased and as He pleased:

“They say:“ We will not believe for anything unless you remove a source for us from the earth; or until you have palm groves and vineyards in which you build rivers; or until you bring the sky into pieces with us, as you say, or you will not appear before us until you bring Allah and the angels; or until you have a jewelery house; or until you go to heaven. But we will not believe in your ascension until you descend with the Scripture, which we will read. ”Say, O Muhammad:“ My God most pure! I am only a man and a messenger ”(Quran 17: 90-93)

The answer to this was:
“We did not send signs only because previous generations did not believe in them. We gave the Samodians a camel as a visual sign, but they did not fair with it. We send down our signs only to frighten us “(Quran 17:59)
The Lord, in His Wisdom, knew that people did not require miracles in order to believe:

“In the name of Allah they made the greatest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say: “The signs are with Allah. And how do you know that they will not believe, even if it comes to them? “We turn away their hearts and eyes, because they did not believe in him the first time, and leave them to wander blindly in their own lawlessness”
