Astronomical forecasts suggest that Ramadan 2026 is likely to commence between February 18 and 20, depending on the moon sighting across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and other Muslim-majority nations.
In Dubai and other parts of the UAE, the Emirates Astronomy Society has predicted that the holy month will begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026. These calculations are based on precise astronomical observations made by the society’s experts.
Interestingly, the upcoming Ramadan 2025 and the solar month are expected to start on the same day — a rare alignment that hasn’t occurred in the past 33 years.

According to Emirati astronomers, the new moon of Ramadan is expected to appear on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at around 4:01 PM. However, it will set approximately one minute after sunset, making visual confirmation impossible on that day.
As a result, the first fast of Ramadan is most likely to be observed on February 19, pending the official decision of the moon-sighting committee.

The holy month of Ramadan 2026 will arrive during early spring, bringing with it pleasant weather and moderate temperatures across many regions. Periodic light showers could add a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere to the month, enhancing the spiritual serenity that defines Ramadan.
Muslims around the world are already preparing for this sacred period of reflection, prayer, and community, which is anticipated to be both spiritually uplifting and environmentally soothing this year.
