This is a view from the Jewish side. The territory used to be open to the sky, but now it is closed and used as a synagogue. A green door leads to the graves of Yaqoob (peace be upon him) and Lia [Leah], who was one of his wives.

Yaqoob (peace be upon him) is mentioned by name 16 times in the Quran.
Yaqoob (peace be upon him) was the son of Ishaq (peace be upon him) and his wife Rifaqah [Rebekah] and was born in Palestine. He spent his life in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.

When the Prophet Yaqoob (peace be upon him) was on the verge of death, he was called his sons and talked with them. This is mentioned in the following verses of the Qur’an in Sura al-Baqara: “Ibrahim prescribed the same thing to his sons, as well as to Yaqoob (saying):“ Oh my sons! Lo! Allah chose for you the true religion, so do not die, except as people who surrendered (to Him) or you were present when death came to Yaqoob, when he told his sons: What will you worship after me? They said: “We will worship your God, the God of your fathers, Ibrahim, Ismail and Ishaq, the One God, and we have surrendered to Him.” [2: 132, 133]
