1,000 Receive Free Medical Care from Islamic Group in Gombe

The Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN) has extended free medical services to over 1,000 residents of Gombe State.

During the event, Malam Muhammad Ishaq, the chairman of the association, emphasized that this initiative is part of their commitment to giving back to the community. The services were offered at their newly established facility, IMAN Medical Home.

In a report by Arewa, it was highlighted that this medical outreach is a key component of the association’s efforts to raise health awareness and provide support to the less privileged and vulnerable populations.

Ishaq stated, “Our mission is to assist those in need by offering various forms of intervention to individuals seeking medical services. The establishment of our own hospital will enhance our ability to reach out to the community whenever necessary.

“While the facility is not yet fully equipped with the latest modern technology, we have a dedicated team of skilled medical professionals committed to providing excellent care to all patients. We are also working towards upgrading the hospital to meet the standards of a specialist healthcare facility.”

Dr. Danimoh Abdulsalam, Chairman of the IMAN outreach committee, noted that the goal of the outreach was to provide medical services to 1,000 or more patients as part of the hospital’s official launch.

He further explained that the association plans to offer comprehensive medical services at the hospital while also taking its community commitment a step further through the free medical outreach program.

“The program is designed to reach underserved communities in Gombe, particularly the needy, and provide them with essential medical care. Additionally, we aim to identify patients who require surgical or other specialized medical interventions and will schedule surgeries for them at a later date,” he told Arewa.

Participants in the outreach praised the association for organizing the event and called on the state government and other philanthropists to support IMAN in its mission to provide care for the less fortunate and offer relief to vulnerable members of society.
