The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs , Dawah, and Guidance has introduced new regulations prohibiting the use of cameras in mosques for recording or broadcasting prayers, including the Taraweeh prayers observed during Ramadan. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), this directive also bans live streaming of prayers on all media platforms.

The ministry explained that these measures are intended to uphold the sanctity of mosques and create a distraction-free environment for worshippers. Officials urged imams and preachers to strictly follow these guidelines and encourage congregants to maintain proper decorum within the mosque premises.
